GTA is one of my favorite series. I've played it since GTA 2 all the way till the last one. I would actually buy if they released a new one but don't you think it's getting so repetitive?

With regards to your question :P I think a trailer will be released soon. Maybe we'll get it by Christmas? I hope. Still waiting on Diablo 3 :(

I remember getting the 1st GTA on the pc! When it came out for the PSX I thought Sony was crazy, but the gamble paid off.

Did you ever play the London packs for GTA 2?

I'm really excited about this, even though I've yet to play GTA4, 3, 2,1 and London.
The first GTA I played was Vice City, and it impressed me very well. So I played San Andreas and got lost in its world. The furthest I got was the Valet mission in San Fierro. That's the GTA game too that I watched and payed attention to the story.
3 I've played for just a little time(less than an hour), and 4 I have no idea how I could play it.
Seems to me that a powerful PC would be the only solution.
Anyway, on the subject of GTA becoming repetitive I doubt it. Rockstar makes tons of games with free roaming and they're most of the time stellar. Case in point: Bully, Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption.
If you're still pointing at GTA, well, the story is almost always great.
Plus, a new main addition on the GTA series means that Rockstar loaded it with tons of new things.
Well, we could hope anyway,

I dunno why 1 trailer would change a 10 year old tradition?

You know, I would have cared about this if my friends didn't convince me to play Saints Row 2...now I'm more or less apathetic about the GTA series as a whole.

I'll pretend to be excited for a few minutes, and then I'll go back to playing GTA:SA on multiplayer. SA was the best in the series, when I got 4 I actually spent more time watching the in-game tv than doing missions.

Would have been better if they would have went back to Vice City or maybe a new city like Akron

Vice City is done on the PSP, and the city is smaller.

A new city would be nice. I haven't played GTA4 yet, but with the ones I played I have to agree that San Andreas was the best. 3 cities, RPG like features, there was nothing like it when it came out. Hey, I even forgot Vice City when I played that game. It doesn't hurt that the story was good too, and the dialogue was funny.

@Tarkenfire's dig on Saints Row 2 being better than GTA... Well, the only free roaming game I liked except for GTA was Scarface. A free roam game fails for me if it fails to create the atmosphere that you are in another place. I felt I visited Miami on that one, albeit the adventure was laced with drugs and violence.
"My name is Tony Montana! Don't you ****ing mess with me!"
Good times.

Vice City was actually done on the PS2 and then converted to the PSP. The city was fine, the soundtrack was even better and personally it was probably one of the best GTA's. Vice City was a spin on Scarface and 80's mafia movies. San Andreas was a take on Boys in da Hood and Menace to Society.

I was never really into games about cars or the grand theft thereof.

Where I grew up, it was GTA 5 every day. So I am a bit burned out on it now.

I wanted GTAV to be a remake of Vice City, instead it is San Andreas. :(
