MS Robotics Developer contest!

Now this looks fun... you test out the new robotics studio from MS... throw in an idea, do a write up, and if you make it to round two - you get the actual hardware platform (parallax's eddie) to make it and enter in for the second part! OMG!

I'll fiddle with the beta software this weekend... I think we should get a few entries in! Viva la DIC!

Round 1: Using the proposal template provided at http://www.roboticsathome.com , submit a project proposal that details your team’s information and proposed project idea. All required fields must be completed including but not limited to team name, contact details (email & phone), and idea proposal.

Round 1 entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
40.00% – Originality
60.00% – Utility / Usefulness



Round 2 – Finals: 10 Finalists will receive a robotic device on loan from Microsoft to assist them in creating their entry, which should be a video showcasing your robot and the productivity problem it solves for.

Round 2 entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

20.00% – Technical Implementation
20.00% – Completeness
10.00% – Originality
40.00% – Utility / Usefulness
10.00% – Presentation

One (1) Grand Prize: A check for $10,000, to be divided equally among each member of the team.

sounds to me like their creative minds are stumped and they just want someone to think of ideas for them for a relatively cheap price.....

Didn't mean to imply I wouldn't do it anyways -- free stuff is the best stuff(mostly)

Good.. I didn't want you to be the beta tester for my @home-robot... I let it loose into the wild to find people who have insulted me online and then throws trolling comments at them in public! Hahahaha...
