You will need to add the Windows media player control to your Toolbox.

To do that, right click on the Toolbox and select Add Items from the context menu.

Next under the .NET Components tab, scroll down till you find Windows Media Player component. Put a check in the box next to the component and click OK.

The component will show up at the end of the list of whichever submenu of the Toolbox you right clicked on.

when i right click the toolbox i see cut, copy, paste, delete, rename item, list view, show all, choose items, sort items alphabetically, reset toolbox, add tab, move up, and move down. i don't see the add items. im just clicking in the toolbox when i open it on the side. i using microsoft visual basic 2005 express edition is that the same as vb.net?
thnx

Ooops, sorry I was thinking of VS2003.

It is called Choose Items... in VS2005.

Yes, although VS2005 express is the IDE, but you are working in the .NET framework.

I'm glad you got it working. Incidently, with VB 2005 you can also use the 'my' namespace to play a sound file. Look for 'my.computer.audio' namespace for methods to play a .wav file or play system sounds.

The only thing about that AdmSteck, is that you are restricted to .wav or system sounds.
