I am extremely new to Flash (as in - started this week), and I am having a real challenge finding tutorials on certain things (which makes me wonder if they are even possible)...
For starters, randomizing.
I DID find a tutorial that IS allowing me to play through a collection of random videos when the page refreshes. Lovely. (tutorial: http://www.developph...sh_CS4_and_CS3)
This allows me to group certain videos together, on a custom background, and allows the user to experience different videos when they go to this one page.
I will have some 60 pages like this.
However, I would also like to have a random play feature - this would randomly go through all of these 60+ swf files/pages, play one random file from each - and then I'd like it to stop, leaving the visitor at the main menu.
Along those same lines, I would also like to make a separate feature where it plays 30 swf (videos), in order, with one random video for each section, and then returns to the main menu.
It's important to note these are not just videos - but full web pages, as I want the backgrounds, buttons, links, etc to change with every video as well.
My second thing is about cue points:
If I am on one of these 60+ pages, sometimes they will overlap with the 30 swf playing in order. I would like people to be able to click to join the 30 video swf at the same point. ie: if you are on page 22, you can join the 30 video swf at #22 and watch to the end - you don't start from the beginning. How do I code/link to do that - especially if it does the noted above randomizing?
If you have no idea what I am saying, I can explain in more detail, but I figure this post is already pretty long.
Thank you.
