I want to make a board game with Python. The gameplay design is done, and the board and pieces are saved as .png files. I have some experience with Python, but I don't know much about using it through a graphical interface.

My Problem: When the player takes their mouse, and clicks on a position on the board, I want something to happen in that spot.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

First things first: are you using PyGame, or some other framework for drawing? Second, what code do you have?

That's part of the problem. I have no experience with connecting Python code with interfaces. I don't know where to start.

Perhaps I should start by researching Pygame?

Yes, PyGame is definitely the place to start if you are making a game
