I'm doing this project in visual basic 2010 and I am trying to write short little codes with buttons, labels and text boxes. However I am having an extremely hard time trying to figure this. I need help with the TrimStart Method, Trim End Method, Remove Method, PadLeft method, PadRight Method, Insert Method, StartsWith method, Endswith Method, Contains method, IndexOf Method, StringCompare Method, Like Operator and ==,<>,<,<=,>,>= . Ones not listed I did on my own Im just having trouble with these... This is what it should basically look like...



Private Sub btnLengthProperty_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnLengthProperty.Click
lblLengthPropertyOutput.Text = CStr(txtLengthProperty.Text.Length)
End Sub

The code you provided can be simplified:

lblLengthPropertyOutput.Text = txtLengthProperty.Text.Length.ToString()

This basically returns a String representation of the length Integer.

thanks! now the only ones im stuck on how to do is TrimStart Method and TrimEnd Method.. im trying to use textboxes and message boxes or labels anything to have a user input data and then have the computer output it!
