Dream.In.Code Content Mangement System

Posted 11 December 2011 - 12:52 PM

So I have two questions:

What Content Management System does Dream.In.Code use?

And can I sync my DIC blog (currently not existent) to my wordpress blog?

It uses a plugin for the forum (which I believe is ipb?), you should be able to sync it by using the RSS feed!

While we're on this topic why doesn't DIC create it's own forum? Instead of using Invision Power Board?

I think that half a million programmers can create a forum...

Has there been any initiative on this topic before? If not why?

Why?

The only reason I can think of is that the code gets cluttered after so many years of changes... but ipb is very good and isn't it enough that so many people here spend time helping others for free? Surely getting them to make a forum would be asking too much!

Half a million "programmers." You've been in the C# section long enough to know what I mean.

Plus, it's not like the "thousand monkeys with a thousand typewriters" scenario. We all come from different language backgrounds, and we'd all have to work together towards something.

Take this as a lesson for later: don't reinvent the wheel unless you absolutely have to. Writing everything from scratch won't prove how good a programmer you are, it'll prove that you don't understand the concept of time as a resource.
