Help Desk/Issue Tracker/Project Management Solution?

Anyone know of any solutions that are Help Desk/Bug Tracker/Project Management all together? At the very least I'm looking for a Help Desk/Bug Tracker I can use. I'm getting ready to launch a business and I'd like something I can use that is integrated. I'd prefer a free option right now as I'm just starting out, and once I start getting some sales I will actually be able to move over to a paid service :)

I would like the option to have custom fields on both, and I'd prefer email piping, and not really looking at having a customer portal yet (KB, place to login to view tickets, etc).

Am I overlooking the Edit Button?

There are only 2 of us right now if anyone knows any that give free options for 2 Users ;)

I would recommend looking into HP Service Center, i have had a lot of experience with it and it has everything you are describing.

I just tried googling it and nothing but HP Computer Repair Services show up lol.

I was looking into that, I have shared hosting on HostGator and was trying to see if I could come up with a way to install it as they want you to upload the tar ball and set it up that way, I'll have to dig more into the documentation I think unless you know of a way to do this that I've overlooked?

If you want to host your own bug tracker/etc, I'd strongly recommend looking into VPSes. I have one with Linode that I share with a friend. Never looked back.

My fault. If i would have taken the 3 seconds to read your whole post i would have saw the big FREE part lol. I would go with BugZilla as blackcompe has suggested.

Spiceworks is a nice product, and it is completely free. We use it at work, and so far no complaints.

Do you work for a web development firm? A friend of mine had a similar requirement when he was starting his freelance work....... while helping him out..... I came across many free and open source project management software.

But we settled on Microsoft's project management software.....as there's this feature which helps you gauge project status and alerts managers about project progress apart from helping in efficient resource allocation. The free ones tend to be the most difficult to setup. In order of easy to hard difficulty:

Flyspray
Bugzilla
RT

RT is great and has tons of enterprise features that might be overkill, but might be needed.

You should also look at Redmine (Free, Open Source)

It is more focused towards the Project Management side and Bug Tracking, with less focus on the Customer bug reporting, but it is still possible.
