So I saw this recently, thought it was a great idea.

I've downloaded it but I'm not the one to judge it, so if someone that has used it, tell is it good or not?

Why not?

I can't see any particular benefits.. I mean if you are already in C# why not just run with ASP.NET? Why make some compiler that tries to force it into javascript? I would almost prefer just doing the translation at hand and not take on tool and try to make it useful in an inappropriate situation.

Java isn't Javascript, which what Script# is treating as the target VM.

Oh... Then sorry for the mistake.

I only work with MS languages and technologies. Reason? My f*ck**g school is sponsored by Microsoft (since the school is a private one), and they don't teach use almost nothing other than MS technologies! Picked the wrong school, oh woe is me, I'm going to endure it because I must then I'm freeeeeeee!

That's a bit simplistic. lots of things belong on the server, but lots of things belong on the client as well.

My point on it:

Since I'm in Serbia (that means technologically crippled) hosts charge more for server time. And since server time is expensive, then I would think the more that can be done on the client's side the better.

Nothings wrong, the just don't teach us anything else. And we've already put up a petition for adding some other things to the learning program, but they've denied it.

In that case, why not teach yourself non-MS languages instead of utilizing tools to convert MS languages into non-MS languages? What I mean is why not just learn javascript? They just throw A LOT of stuff into our heads and I think it would be actually too much to learn something on the side, although I will try it. We're learning .NET (and we have parallel classes of ASP.NET), we're learning the syntax of VB, C#, C++ (even Objective-C wtf?), we also have classes of Silverlight, also WPF, Windows Forms parallel, and all in different classes (that is one class is Silverlight, and the other WPF vs Win Forms). So yeah there's just too much information. But hey I guess java is similar to C# so I guess it won't be that hard to learn
