Ok, so what's on your "please do NOT get me this for Christmas this year" list?
For the ladies, I'd think it was any type of clothes. If you get it too small she will say, "is this the size you wish I was?" and if it is too big, you'll hear, "just how big do you think I am, anyway?"
What else should you NEVER get someone for Christmas?

I love clothes for Christmas. Like, I only have 1 pair of jeans, so I would very much appreciate some clothes.
Those cheap make-up kits you get at WalMart/Wallgreens for $2 with a bunch of waxy shit that doesn't work because someone either doesn't know you/care enough about you to get a real gift, and they're usually regifted. Also the cheap bathwash/lotion duo stuck on a teddy bear thing. You know what I'm talking about? Granted, I'm grateful that I got anything at all, but it's kinda the equivalent of saying "crap, I forgot about you! Well, you're a girl, girls like make-up, here's some dried up nail polish and goopy lip gloss in shiny case."

I'm with NeoTifa, those makeup kits or fragrance lotion baskets are awful. I once got a packet of panties, which was mortifying for my pre-teen self.
I think half the fun of getting a gift is seeing what people *think* you would like, but those one size fits all gifts suck that fun out.

A netbook. I don't have a wireless router, they cost the same as a desktop with more power, and the OS never works with the program you want it to.
Oh, and I like the feel of shoving in PCI cards.
