Shaders can create stunning real time rendering effects and are an extremely important part of modern real time graphics. Although shaders look complicated at first you will come to realise that there are only a few functions that you need to create lighting effects, bump mapping and other impressive techniques.
There are a few different shader languages that you can use like HLSL(DirectX) and GLSL(OpenGL), among others. This challenge is to write a simple shader that shows off a cool technique.
You can use DirectX, OpenGL or even just a shader authoring tool like FXComposer. Post a screenshot or video of your work!

I think this is a really worthwhile challenge so give it a go

I will give this a go, though I cannot say I will acomplish the goal. I've never used shaders. But, I did but a book; 'Real Time Rendering, Third Edition' So this will really help on shaders amongst other things.
