USE apache or an all in one package like XAMMP or Wamp

I'm a little confused as to exactly what you are looking because you said

.

A popular database that you can use for a database server is Mysql and you can use a xammp, wamp or lamp approach like IphoneApe mentioned. If you are looking for a more compact database which is stored on the phone itself, you can look into SQLite or Apache Derby. Both can be stored on the phone as an embedded database.
