Website requests password to properly see background or images?

Posted 05 January 2012 - 04:26 PM

Well, I'm very new to web development (and, to an extent, computer development in general), and I'm having an issue in viewing my website background/images without a password.

The website is
mixedhops.com
.
What you see there is my problem - there are no visable images and you cannot see the background without the proper password.

This is what it should actually look like:

This is the source code:
<html>
<head>

<title>MixedHops.com</title>
<meta name="keywords" content="mixed, hops, cases, beer, mixedhops, mixed hops,
select, brew, micro, microbrew, choice, mixed cases" />

<style type="text/css">
body {background-color:#F0FFF0}
p {color:black}
</style>

<style type="text/css">
body
{
background-image:url('ftp://mixedhops@mixedhops.com/public_html/gradient.gif');
background-repeat:repeat-x;
}
</style>

<style type="text/css">
h1 {color:#691F01;}
p {color:#000033;}
b {text-decoration:blink;}
b {text-decoration:underline;}
</style>

</head>

<input type="radio" name="reason" value="other" /> <i>Other</i>				<br /><br/>

<textarea name="body" COLS=50 ROWS=10 />Insert text here</textarea>						<br/>
<input type="submit" />				<br/>
</form>

I can't really think of anything else helpful.... but let me know if you know of anything.
Thanks for any help in advance!

After poking around, I found something that might be helpful -
Filezilla configuration!

Here you go.

Did you set a protected directory password in cPanel? Or perhaps something in .htaccess?

In all honesty, I had no idea what that was until I googled it - so, I'm assuming I did not, and I don't believe the server host did either.

More than likely something to do with file permissions or .htaccess configuration.
