Anyone ever encounter this before, using a PC running windows XP (Desktop), I had a friend have the PC lock up whenever he transmitted on his radio. This was in a work situation. We know its from the radio because its repeatable every time. Its not effect when there is signal coming into the radio, but when transmitting. Radios are running in about the 400mhz range.

What kind of radio?
How many watts is his antenna?
Is the house properly grounded?
Is the radio well shielded?
Is the radio in proper working order?
When was the last time the radio was calibrated?
(use long extension cord) Try connecting the radio and power antenna to the other side of your circuit breaker box (if you can)
Have the radio checked by an Electronic Technician (if your friend isn't already one himself)
We used to have this same problem back when we were kids, sometimes our radio controlled cars would malfunction. We also discovered interference with our walkie talkies, It was the old ham radio guy over at the old people home. Sometimes we could hear him talking. (he had a 3 story tall antenna)
It's not that his radio was out of calibration, it was just that it was so strong that the harmonics would jam up all neighboring frequencies.
