Not really. For mathematical problems, I do my research in textbooks I have access to, Wikipedia, Wolfram Alpha, and other sources. When all else fails (usually when I have insufficient mathematical background), I ask someone who knows substantially more than me.

I get confused too. I calmly open a new window/tab in my browser and do a quick "Go**le" on it. In most cases I find what I'm after and return to my work. Confusion helps us learn.

If I can't solve a problem, I search for what I need to create a solution. It doesn't usually involve posting on development forums in textspeak.

This was a common problem for me as my Maths is not the best, like many others if I can't find it I Google it or use text books I have.
However what I find helpful is when I eventually work out or find the solution I make note of it and add it to either my intranet at home or a document on my pc so I don't have to spend time searching for it again.

I add comments to my code with the URL of pages I need to help me. One example that springs to mind was a formula to calculate the brightness of a colour from its RGB values.
