Google have many information, but I also want to have some experiences people suggestion about it.

Some of the questions currently in my mind:

  • How to know the level of competencies for that certain programming/scripting language
  • can i work as freelance programmer as a student?

This topic has nothing to do with school or being a student. Moved to "Freelancing".

The two most popular Freelance sights that I know of are

VM Worker
Elance

I am sorry for posting at wrong section.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying Elance now. But I still need to setup my bank account for internet transaction and pass the first test.

I need opinions about my focus of niche. I am good in programming technical skill, but I am right now at more interest with website and system development. I find out from my lecturer that programming in real life industry is very different than what we learnt in university, especially that I am still just diploma level. While website career such as PHP/MySQL, may not work well with me that has a bit of lacking in term of creativity.

Which path should I really choose? Most advice I got told me to focus on one path only.

How does PHP/MySql not have creativity? I'm not sure what you are getting at.
