I love to program games, but I'd thought I ask anyone what their game output would be. Either its a RTS, a RPG, or a FPS. In game programming, you can build anything that your mind sets the challenge. Any thoughts what your game would be?

Since this would probably be Indie development, I would go for Puzzle game or 2D Platformer. They can be quite easily ported into multiple platforms (PC, iOS, Android).
FPS games require lots of 3D modeling, AI programming etc. so they are quite hard to make, especially if you are an indie developer and your team is tiny. Same goes for RPG games which require lots of dialogs and good plot, and preferably quite large world for player to explore.
Small scale RTS would also be doable, although the AI programming worries me a bit since I haven't really studied that all too much.
Another type that might be relatively easy for indie team to create would be racing game or a simulator, especially if you already have the physics engine for driving available. Or an old school adventure game because even though they have same elements as RPG games (dialogs, plot) they don't require that much work on other areas like 3D modeling or AI programming.

I think I'll stick to what I am good at doing. I am good at creating dialogs for my indie games. I am currently devolping a 2D RPG game where you have to scale a tower and rescue the player's sister from a gang of extremists. The genre is fantasy.

I like to build any game really but I think my main focus at the moment is the MMORPG Legend of Mir 2, a 2D platform, and 3D programming, Because I also have an interest in FPS games.

Actually, no you can't. Game programming is about creating an illusion of an entertaining world with engrossing interactions - nothing is coded literally. That is the challenge.

A phrase from writing comes to mind: Suspension of disbelief. Your goal as a writer is to immerse your reader in your fictional world and make them believe that what they are reading could be possible, no matter how impossible it is in this world.
Not all games have to do that though but the AAA titles we are used to now a days tend to. A game can be a lot of fun but very simple at the same time with no "virtual world." Tetris is a very simple, yet fun game. It is out of the category of say Dragon Age Origins but is still a very fun game.
For the genre of game that I prefer to work in, I prefer the RPG genre over others. TBS and RTS are other genres that I'd consider working on.
