The ACH payment ID: 228187218454, that had been sent from your bank account lately, was suspended by the recipient.

Was DIC the only thing you used the address for? Was it with a common/popular email site, like gmail/hotmail? It's pretty unlikely DIC's emails have been compromised.

I would think if the email list had been hacked then everybody here would be getting about a hundred of these every day. I for one certainly haven't received anything.

Interesting, I got this as well to my registered DIC address.

The link contained in the email goes to a page which loads two JS files, which redirect to another page which pulls down some probably malicious JS.

Oh, and the ACH was different for mine:

I got two of these to my registered email. Both from "Kitty Kelly". I'd expect porn links to come from a name like that.

No indication that it was hacked, but may have been some malicious use of the API that accesses member profiles and such.

Malicious use of the API? We have enough trouble using it for good things!

Looks like it's part of a phishing attempt though I can't be sure. I haven't received these emails.

I get ACH, BBB, Fax, Scans, HR, FedEx, UPS, & IRS phishing emails at my business email.

Welcome to the internet. Forging email headers is nothing new.

I'm going to go w/ the phishing theory as well. I just posted here. About the emails I started getting.

And to think that I supported getting that API up :whistling:

Hmm...so the API pulls email addresses even if they're private?

Does anyone else use the same email they signed up for DIC for Twitter? That's about the only other use I have for that email address.

I just checked spam, I have one almost identical to what SwiftStriker00 had. My email address is used for most things though.

I get these emails all the time - and I don't have an DIC email (not because I haven't requested one, merely because our fearless leader hasn't set it up :cry2: ). I get these in my work email, my home email, my old yahoo mail account... you name it, emails claiming that I've had electronic transfers cancelled are abuntant.

It even has its own SNOPES entry.
