In your Letter of Resignation, be sure to include this statement in your closing paragraph:

I've heard more and more lately that non-competes are almost completely unenforceable unless there is money tied to the non-compete (i.e. you are compensated for signing that part of the agreement with a specific amount of money designated soley for that purpose)

There's a separate contract that reflects that. Two actually. They're part of a termination of service agreement. The pay out (could be any dollar amount) is not "required" (although behind closed doors your attorney will say it is lol) but done in "good faith"... Ultimately its a contract that states a few things which includes you not owning any rights to the company, IPs, etc... and that you won't blab.
