I could be way off, but are you looking at a method of returning the full path when given a filename?

If that is the case, you may want to look at
System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName() 
or
System.IO.Path.GetFullPath()


Again, that is just a shot in the dark at what you are trying to do, and just a bare bones idea of where you might look.
