Hi Everybody!

I'm quite new to programming , so I'm sorry if this is a silly question!

I need to programme what is called a flicker task in Matlab, and I'm having a few issues.

All the flicker task is, is where I get Matlab to read in (is that the right way to say it?) two gif images that I already have, then display them on a monitor, one after the other qith a brief black screen in between them. The images just then have to alternate back and forth until somebody spots the difference between them and presses a button, which will then tell me how long it took them to press the button.

I've been able to get Matlab to read my gif images, but they're coming out a funny colour! ???
And I can only make them appear once, and not for a set length of time.

I do know at least, how to get the computer to time how long it takes someone to press a button, just not in the context of this programme!

I know this sounds like a really easy thing to do, but I'm really stuck!

Any help would be brilliant.
