Enterprise Constraints

Posted 27 January 2012 - 09:50 AM

I have an assignment where I am to suggest some enterprise constraints that would be appropriate for a database schema. I've never really had to define this before so I don't know exactly what the question is asking.

Do I need to suggest what should additionally be entered but not viewed, etc...?

The schema:
Hotel (hotelNo, hotelName, city)
Room (roomNo, hotelNo, type, price)
Booking (hotelNo, guestNo, dateFrom, dateTo, roomNo)
Guest (guestNo, guestName, guestAddress)

The list I have so far is:

-Only allowing a valid hotelNo
-Only allowing a valid roomNo
-Require valid and predefined numbering system for guestNo
-Require dateFrom to be less than or equal to dateTo

Any help is appreciated.
