Personally, I was at the Nordic Game Jam in Copenhagen, which is the biggest site in the GGJ. I was in a group of six people, four programmers and two 3D artists. We had decided in advance to make a multiplayer game with Android phones - actually, I think we named the genre "remote multiplayer co-op space battle game". Here's a short gameplay video.
The game itself was... not revolutionary. It was basically just spaceships shooting each other. We had some ideas about the space ships merging to become more powerful, but didn't have time to implement it. We got the whole Android thing to work, though, so in the end we had a game which would run on a PC with a projector, written in Unity3D. The players would then scan a QR code with their phone to download our Android App, which would then allow them to join the game.
We didn't win any prizes, but we had an awesome weekend, and I think we all learned a LOT. I know I did.
So what cool projects did you guys make for the jam, and how did it go?
