Five days till superbowl XLVI, and I'm curious to see what the majority vote is in here.
The game is between New York Giants and the New England Patriots.
I've had a £1 bet on for the Giants to win since before the season started. I will win £280 if they come out on top.
So, who do you think will win the superbowl?

Most years, I'd have a good idea. However, when the #3 and #4 defenses both lost in their respective conference championship games, I'm now a bit rudderless. I honestly thought we'd be talking about a New England/San Fran or possibly a Baltimore/San Fran game and not Giants/Patriots. The normal formula (that defense wins championships) has clearly been jettisoned when we have the #26 and #30 defense playing one another.
I'd like to see the Giants win, not because I'm any fan of New York but because I simply like the Patriots less.
The good news is that the game ought to be fairly even because they're actually pretty fairly matched but I'd like to think New York's pass rush can figure something out and maybe drop Brady once or twice.
Right now, Pats are favored by three and the over under is 55. I'd take the three and put money on the Giants and I sure as hell would bet the over on the 55.
Thing is: the LSU/'Bama game will still end up being better than this game I think.

If the Giants/Patriots weren't playing eachother in the super bowl I would probably watch it being I am an avid football fan. However the thought of watching a re-run of a previous super bowl between two of the most boring teams in the history of the sport. I think I will spend the evening watching paint dry.

I'm definitely going to watch it, but I won't be enjoying it anywhere near as much as I would have if the Packers had made it back there this year. Oh well, maybe next year.

i would like the giants to win it, and i also think they will win it. which is why the pats will

Disagree with your assessment.
They might have played in one of the closest Super Bowls, but it does not make neither team exciting. The Browns and Lions could be in the Super Bowl and the final score could be 20-19 thanks to a 30 yd touchdown pass with 4 seconds left and I would feel the same way.
As a Chiefs fan, I wasn't even alive the last time they made the Super Bowl.
The Ravens/49ers would have made an interesting Super Bowl, hell I would have rather seen the much hated Broncos or even worse Steelers in the Super Bowl than have to suffer through a Giants/Patriots game.
I would rather watch **Cough SOCCER

the teams don't have to be exciting for the game to be.
alternately, just because teams are exciting does not mean a game will be.

Case in point - the Pro Bowl.

Yea, the Pro Bowl this year was exceptionally boring. The first quarter looked like the players didn't even want to be there. Everyone was so lazy about everything it made me question why there is a Pro Bowl to begin with. If the players don't care about it, it seems pointless to me.

It's all about the money (Not players but networks). Players have already admitted to half-assing out there.

Why isn't "MY CROTCH" on the list?
Because I don't know about you guys, but I'm fairly certain "MY CROTCH" is winning the damn super bowl this weekend.

Pro tip for you shorties out there - most girlfriends are never pleased when you refer to the physical act of making love, or their lady bits, as "the damn super bowl".
In other cases rockstars like LOD has found special lady friends who go along with the game as if it was some sort of sexytime roleplaying... well usually up until the post coitus ice cold gatoraid dunking he gives her.. though that tends to hasten their departure.

"the damn super bowl" is the actual act of making love... if you should know. Lady bits are known as "the pitch".
And who said they were "lady friends"? Though in this case, "the pitch" is referred to as a "rugby pitch".

Bah, it was to provide symmetry for my comment. The intent was irrespective of if the other half was: a dude, a chick, visual kei, or Clay Aiken.
