Hi,
I'm helping a friend that has been working on C++ and now needs to learn Java. He downloaded the C++ version of Eclipse, of course. Problem is, now that we are starting with some real simple Java programs, Eclipse wont even launch them. It doesnt gives me the option to launch as Java Applet. On my computer I would go to Run As--->Java Application. Here it only says "none applicable".
Yes I have already installed the compiler, and yesterday we were able to run some java from eclipse, so I dont know why its not giving me this option anymore.
Thanks for your help!

Can't help without the code. Even then it's questionable, but we'll do our best.

smohd is probably right. The C++ bundle doesn't have JDT (org.eclipse.jdt). Download the Java bundle.
