Use Case Diagram Question

Posted 04 February 2012 - 03:24 PM

This is my first time creating a Use Case diagram (it is an assignment for my Java class)... I am not sure I used inclusion and extension correctly. I know that the extension relationship denotes which use case is using the behaviors of another class, and I also know that the inclusion relationship denotes which use case is using the functionality of another use case as part of its normal process. I am not confident that I correctly labeled my diagram, so I am looking for an outsider's opinion.

I have attached an image of my diagram, I am just wondering if someone could take a quick peek to see if there are any serious errors attached? Thank you ^_^

Doesn't look like there is anything wrong with it to me. Might want to add different methods in though. Like "rename Item" under Sales diplay.

Also,Under manage inventory, You might want to include the item name too.

According to the assignment the item description includes the item name, and automatically generates it in the invoice when the item is added. I included that into my activity diagram, and didn't think it was required on my use case diagram since our teacher had noted that the item description was to contain the item name as well.

I am not sure if the program we are creating allows managers to update the database files by renaming the item. I think it is only supposed to update the inventory stock. I did notice after posting that I am missing two use cases that should show up next to sales display and they are: Cancel order, and Finish order. I did not notice that at first..

Anyway, thank you for your input I really appreciate it :smile2:
