A family member is willing to sell an ipad 2 64gb with verizon 3g that he bought for around 900 + 100 for a case. The price he'd sell to me is $650. I'm really hesitant as I want to get a gaming laptop. My desktop is currently a dell vostro 230. I'm not sure if an iPad would be useful as a Comp Sci major, but I know that if I get a gaming laptop, I'm going to be spending a lot of my time playing. Same goes for the iPad2, but I'm just so unsure. How are the apps for software developing in iPads, if any? Has anyone else bought an iPad2 for programming or computer-science related things?
I just want to know the ups and downs. This is a really good deal for me and I don't want to let it slip.

I personally would pass and just get the gaming laptop you'll get more use out of it. What's the point in have a laptop AND an Ipad?
If you were buying a new desktop then I could see hitting this deal up to have something portable to take with you places, but since you are buying a laptop you can take that with you and do more with it.
Just my 2 cents.
