I also feel sorry for all those individuals who post on facebook about their whereabouts and check in pretty much saying to any would be robbers "Oh by the way I'm out at lunch with my kids, and I'm going to catch a movie just after that. Haha if there is a law it's not for the Internet, as much as they want to there are no limits.

There are limits, they are just usually stated in terms specific to the internet. They're under general law.

It is against the law to have erotic photographs (digital or chemical) of naked children. This goes for ON the internet and OFF. The law doesn't have to be explicit to just the internet.

It's also illegal to breach copyright law. Both ON the internet and OFF. The issue w/ dealings like SOPA and PIPA were about how to enforce those laws on the internet where it's very difficult to thwart citizens of foreign nations... but the acts were unbalanced and breached certain rights of citizens.

Everything against the law off the interent is against the law on the internet. There are limits in place. Some crimes still exist on the internet, just like they exist in the real world. Just because it's against the law doesn't mean people will stop doing it (and studies show it drives a anti-authoritarian demographic to break laws for the sake of breaking them).





Oh and yes there are a few laws that are specific to the internet.

One in particular, the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998":

Oh I know I was just being a booger and acknowledging thefact that they are broken as if they don't exist, almost constantly. but it also depends on who's jurisdiction you're under the Internet is an almost untamable beast haha.
