Web testing frameworks

Posted 16 April 2007 - 03:21 AM

I'm wanting to deploy a web testing framework for a fairly complicated application. I've tried out and narrowed the search to two - Selenium and Watir. Now with my short experience with both of them, I can't really make a rational decision of which to go ahead with since the time frame is really small to use them extensively. Has anyone used both or either of them and has some opinion about it?

Or a framework I'm missing, which is really cool but I might have overlooked? I would rather prefer an open source one than something I have to shell out bucks for.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

I've listed some web app testing frameworks in a previous thread, that was about application testing. Since you haven't written about the frameworks you've ruled out, I suggest you have a look at it.
Unfortunately I don't know the ones you've mentioned :(

I'm using Selenium Remote Control in Java

It's very good cos U can specify various conditions etc. but there are few problems with it but you can find answers on their forum.
