I somehow managed to catch my finger in the zipper of my jeans over the weekend... ripped a chunk of flesh off the side of the first joint on my left index finger. So, I'm nursing a boo-boo. It keeps bleeding. And it hurts. And I'm almost out of Band-Aids. :(/>

inb4 Mac offers to protect you from further injury, by separating you from your jeans.

someone just sent me a spreadsheet with 'changes', but didn't tell me what, and then promptly disappeared. so i had to write a program to compare to the two spreadsheet so i could find the FOUR BOXES that were changed. what an asshole.

Smacked into my 3PM brick wall with extra force this afternoon. It's almost 4PM, I've just finished my 3rd cup of coffee this hour, and my head still keeps drooping. I need some time off.

I did submit a vacation request for next week, but so far it has gone unanswered. I haven't taken vacation since 2009.

Ai can haz teh mentil helth braik nao?

Perhaps you should arrange for somebody to "kidnap" you on your way out of the office tomorrow. You could probably get one of your friends to get her boyfriend to pull up outside the office while you're on the way out, bundle you into the car, and drop you off in a cabin somewhere for a little vay-cay - easy like pie, right? And your geek buddy - strictly platonic, natch, 'cause he's a geek - can arrange for some media communications from your supposed kidnappers, just enough so your boss knows you've been kidnapped, and then they'll "let you go" after a few days, and you can come back to work.

Easy!

Just be careful - it would be a drag if the boyfriend (who for some reason hasn't met you) kidnaps the wrong person, and you, by random coincidence, get kidnapped by the muslim terrorists no, that's a cliche, Amish separatists, we'll play it for laughs, who have got some well-meaning but slightly naive supporter who happens to be a geek and female to be their media contact. And so now there's three sets of people saying they've kidnapped you, hijinx ensue. The boyfriend winds up in apparently compromising positions with every female speaking role, that's always hilarious. Eventually a couple of speaking roles meet cute and pair up, the boyfriend gets out of hot water with your gal pal and we wind it up with everyone having a jolly old time with the Amish separatists at some Amish folk dance or whatever it is Amish folk do.
Fade out.
It'll make a million. We just have to figure out who we hook your character up with.
(down, Mac, down boy!)

God, this is a boring meeting I'm in.

I'm monitoring and tracing network traffic, and setting up a proxy server.

I read it in an evil voice. Like he's following his plan for world domination.

Fell asleep halfway through, right around the part about tracing network traffic.
