I like Contrawitter better. But that's just because it reminded me of Contra.

I knocked out my test for Intro to Service last night, as well as fixing a minor error on my QuadTree. So on the books for this weekend are:
-Knocking out my last test for Applied Complex Variables
-Homework
-Taking an evening to do something fun/relax without having work on the mind
I've been so inundated with work this semester that I haven't had much time just to take an evening for myself.

Marketing just sent out an email entitled "Baby, at some point it won't be so cold outside". I am wondering if I should reply and say - "perhaps let's tone down the overtones a bit.. this is a business!".

you should probably ask for a clarification in regards to their date rape intentions.

Just got a phone call from what sounded like a college-age or early 20-something woman wanting me to post information about a benefit concert on the college calendar. A conversational excerpt follows:
Caller: "Well, okay... you know Bucky Covington?"
Me: "Sounds vaguely familiar. What is it?"
Caller: "Oh wow. You don't know who Bucky Covington is?"
Me: "No. Who is it?"
Caller: "Well, you watch American Idol, right?"
Me: "No. I know what it is, but I've never watched it."
Caller: "Oh my god! Do you like not own a TV or something?!?"
Damned whippersnappers and their Coving Buckytons and fancy moving picture boxes!

That response does little to explain the ridiculous amounts of time I spend in the Lounge.

Finished a gnarly project using PHP and CakePHP. I gotta say, just in time! The presentation meeting was at 6pm and I finished 5:34pm!
I can finally breathe! Next due date is June, so it's va-cay time for old Serg.
YouTube and Reddit during work hours here I go!

Big Meeting at 9:00 sharp. A project that was supposedly set for completion a month ago is now about 3 days to completion, and the end-users have now decided that they want some different magic to occur with a couple of crystal reports (which they signed off on 2 months ago as being perfectly adequate to their functioning needs)...
HAPPY MONDAY!

I'm working on staying awake... Monday's usually aren't bad for me, but this one is pretty crap.

I was meandering down the hall earlier today - grouchy, bitchy, and muttering to myself - when I happened past the conference room in my building. Inside, I spied DOGS! Turns out, our Department of Student Life was hosting a "Decompression Day" for students and brought in therapy dogs.
But the dogs and handlers were all alone. NO ONE WAS PLAYING WITH THE PUPPIES! So I did.
Two pugs, a yorkie, an albino bulldog, two labs (one black, one gold), and an irish wolfhound.
The wolfhound was 9 months old. His nose was chest high on me. I'm not a short person. He was huge and awesome.
Anyway, I played with the dogs for 20 minutes and magically my whole day was better. I've come to the conclusion that I need my own therapy dog. In my office. Every day.

This is who normally occupies the recliner I have in my home office:

She even has a routine. If I'm too slow coming upstairs to go to work in the morning, she'll walk back and forth between me and the stairs trying (I assume) some Jedi/yorkie mind trick to get my ass in gear.
She hates being late for work apparently.

Heh.. I knew of one coworker that would sneak off to a Petsmart to play with puppies over lunch when they were feeling down. Freaking crack. I then thought it might be a fun business idea to drive from corporate-hell office to office and schedule play dates with people and puppies (for a nominal fee of course).
