Bring cheese to bind things up so you can't use the bathroom. Unless you're lactose intolerant. Then that would be a bad idea. :)

In the current context, this looks like it could be too much information.

Might be using those brown baggies for that reason. - or the bosses sink in an effort to raise awareness

I'm trying to stay calm with a project due in information retrieval on Wednesday, homework due tomorrow in Probability and Stats, and a paper to write that's due Wednesday.

My middle manager also scheduled a meeting with my boss and myself this afternoon to talk about me being late twice (the schedule just changed and I didn't realize he'd scheduled me where I couldn't make it to class.) He'd asked me to check after the first write-up to make sure there weren't any other issues (that was Thursday), and in my incredibly stressed state I said it should be fine. I missed the part where he had Friday scheduled differently than Monday and Wednesday, and consequently came in 55 minutes late.

I also left my windows cracked to air my car out after I had a sweaty, nervous dog in it yesterday, had parked on the street last night, and managed to get the inside of my car wet thanks to sprinklers.

Starting to see why Garfield hated Mondays.

My employer knows I take classes and knows my class schedule. My class schedule is blocked out in red on the schedule.

The problem is that the old schedule on Tuesday had me getting off an hour before my class at 2 (which is what it's supposed to do). David, the middle manager, scheduled me right up against my 2 o'clock lab, and I missed it completely, so I left work 45 minutes early to him and got in 10 minutes late (I called work twice to let them know - I couldn't locate my pills. David's take was that I didn't wake up early enough. My take is that my pills were still in their bag on the floor and it took me 30 minutes to find them when I woke up an hour before I needed to be there).

On Friday, I was supposed to be in at 9. I got in at 10. I told David when we were running off of the old schedule that I would not be able to make it in at 9 consistently from my 8 o'clock class because it's halfway across campus and he doesn't always let us out on time. He changed it on Monday and Wednesday and somehow missed Friday, and I also missed that he didn't change Friday.

So now I get to go sit down with my boss and David because I was late twice in one week and I look like a terrible employee. Yeah. -Really- not looking forward to this 'meeting', especially since I explained what had happened in an email to David.

I delete NOTHING. I might need it as evidence later. I sort it into folders which I archive weekly and keep the archive on my backup drive.

And nothing leaves the inbox until it has been dealt with appropriately.

Except the chain emails from the Admissions secretary - prayers and kittens and Maxine cartoons. Those I delete. To date, there have been no homeless, disabled puppies killed in my name for not forwarding on a serenity prayer to 56 people within 2 minutes.

Fortunately those stopped when I took on employment here. The only chain letters we get are internal football or march madness pools or the occasional buckeyes tickets raffles.

Yeah, that's exactly what I told David and what the policy used to be. Apparently that shifted, and because I've been too stressed to properly look at the schedule, it's on my head.

Ah well.

Good practice. :) I need to start sorting my gmail inbox, but yeah. I save -everything- unless I'm damned sure I won't need it later.

Not needing it later: random coupons, airline savings for a weekend I can't get off, etc.
