Topics not allowed to access but shown on homepage

Hello,

The following recently occurred on the "Recent Forum Posts" box on the home page:

Why are there threads appearing in the Recent Forum Posts box if we aren't allowed to access them?

These are in private forums which members with certain badges have access to. That particular thread is in the Forum Leaders forum.

Yes, but if they're private, then why are they visible to other members without those particular badges?

Probably because the software isn't set up to filter based on the logged in user's permissions. It'd be a good thing to fix.
