Creating 2 Objects

I'm having trouble creating 2 oobjects in c++. Its for this project that I have to do. The goal is to create 2 object and when 1 object hits another have a pop up box appear saying something. Can some one point me in the right direction and I how long would it take some one to do.

Are you referring to some sort of graphical program?
