is there any way i can close this thread? my site is being spammed and hacked into now

I really hope the spam is not coming from someone here. Finding vulnerabilities is great but actually exploiting them to cause harm is not cool.

Again, not talking about those who went out of their way to check the site out and are trying to help the OP, that is what DIC is all about :).

When I was in the process of writing a rather decent web application for my work, I got to the login page and spent at least 3 days on that just beating on it, trying to break it. I didn't mean to really it just bothers me when I know there are holes, and I was excited that I was really getting somewhere until I realized I had only spent time on the login lol.

What is considered as clean html??? or unbroken html?

I think my website is in broken html. I notice my website is displayed fine in google chrome but has small difference displayed in firefox and has a huge difference displayed in IE.

Does that mean my html is bad?

Bad HTML is not always the case as some issue can be caused by Web Browser compatibility issues and need tweaking to fix.
There are hundreds of these issues that exist and Google can help you resolve most.

If you want to check your html you can use validators: Validator these can help with "bad html".

Hope this helps :).

Like pretty much all languages, HTML has very specific rules that should be followed when writing HTML pages. These rules are standardized by the W3C. Anything that goes against the standard would be (or should be) considered "broken" HTML. Luckily they provide the previously mentioned Validator to help you find errors.

"Clean" HTML could be something different though. It's perfectly possible to write horrendous HTML without actually breaking the rules of the language. For instance, using loads of tables to set up your layout (especially if they are deeply nested), or using a bunch of <br> tags or &nbsp; entities to create spaces, or the tag-soup that a certain Adobe product produces with it's WYSIWYG editor. - All of that can also cause browser compatibility issues. These things are usually well documented though, especially things like my first point about the table layouts, which people have been arguing about online for a decade.

thanks for explaining the exploits of the site i will make sure to try and fix them. but i hope the site didnt come off as something that costed money its free to make accounts, the site is just very localy ran it is only for the small county i live in but it does fairly well here. that is why i was looking to see if someone would want one in there county

I'd like to make a non-technical suggestion:
Be sure to write at a better level than what we are seeing from you here, when you contact people about business.

All of your posts are written at sub 8th grade level.
  • Little to no punctuation or capitalization
  • 'to' where 'too' would have been correct
  • 'cost' not 'costed'
  • Three sentences all run together as one.
  • SMS abbreviations

Maybe you can be very literate in official communications. But in my experience literate people don't choose to dumb-down their presentation like this on a whim. People who know how to write like a grown-up tend to do it all the time out of habit. Conversely, people who write like we see here also tend to do it all the time out of habit. In this case that alone would get your proposals bounced out of most offices.

tlhIn`toq I was reading through threads I wrote for a forum between 2004 and 2006 (11 - 13)... I had good ideas but my code and spelling were terrible. And I used no capital letters. I do not know when I started using them all the time, but I think there is a direct correlation.

Is the 11-13 your age in those years? In 2006 you were 13 years old?

I feel really old now. In 2006 I was being deployed to Australia for 3 years. At the end of which I came back to the States with my 3rd (final) wife, and step children of 16 and 18 years. Frak me! My kids are older than you. I'm going to go take my walker for a tune-up now.

Haha yeah I am just a kid.. well was. 18 now so technically an adult here. I did start programming aged 6 though, so still got a fair amount of experience.

I don't mean to got off topic but... This could also be due to your CSS. Different browser's render some styles differently and use a different property name for some styles. For example if you want to have a round border around a div in firefox you would use -moz-border-radius, in safari and chrome: -webkit-border-radius and in IE: border-radius.
