As Microsoft has announced that it plans to release the beta of Visual Studio 11 on 29th February what do you think of it?
The new designed UI is moving towards the Metro look and looks a lot less cluttered.
More information on the new version can be found here at the Visual Studio blog
So what do you think of the new design and features and will you be taking part in the beta? Or are you still hooked with VS 2010 and so no reason to upgrade in the foreseeable future?

Arstechnica has a post on it as well. I'll reserve judgement until I get my mitts on it.
What's your take on it?

At the moment I'm undecided on whether I like the colour scheme or not. Hopefully I will be able to customize it, but if not I will probably get used to it pretty quickly like I did when 2010 came out.
I do however like the look of the less iconified look. On a laptop VS 2010 and all of its icons and toolbar took up a lot of real estate and left me without much room for my solutions explorer and actual code view.
But just like you I will have to wait until Wednesday until I can make a clear judgement on some of the new features.

Microsoft also unexpectedly announced a cut-down version of TFS, TFS Express, that will be free and will support up to five users. This complements the current Visual Studio Express product, and gives small teams a zero-cost development environment, source control system, bug tracker, and more.

I have VS11 in it Developer Preview and I love it, expect for the random crashes when you're typing.
For the love of God I hope they've made it more stable.

Please avoid necroposting, dhussey111, unless you have something substantial to add to the thread. Also, there is no information to develop in Android here.
