Hi Guys,
I'll be starting my final project for University soon (Graduating 2013) and would like some input in selecting the tools to use from a future perspective. I was thinking WPF and Silverlight were relatively new things and was going to develop my application in them. (Home weather station)But with the advent of Windows 8 and HTML5 should I be thinking differently? Do you think this matters to future employers (what I have used in my past development)? and is Silverlight dead? I thought this would be a nice tool to visualise the data in my application
Any input welcome sorry for all the questions!
Many thanks

Well any language has the possibility of dying out. I remember reading that MS has silverlight supported until 2021 and the last time I checked (on the dev preview of Windows8) Silverlight ran fine.
I say go and use it.
I say go and use it.

Not a problem. Just make sure you don't play with it too much or you'll get hairy palms.
