Android with java or C++

Posted 06 March 2012 - 01:47 AM

Hi all,

this is first question about mobile development. I need to start mobile development. I like to start android development.
I heard that we can do Android development with either Java or C++ language. I am ok with both languages but better with C++.

problem is I want to know what is the better option for Android, C++ or Java?
and what are recommended tools for this development.

thanks,
Menuka

There is far better support for the Java API as opposed to the C++ NDK, as with the latter, you need to use very efficient memory management manually. Also, there are less libraries for the NDK. what i'm saying is that yes, C++ is very possible, but there are more easy capabilities with the Java API.

Moved to Android.
