Hey Guys,

I know some of you probably have already heard about this, but a lot of people haven't.

What is going on in Africa is heart-breaking and needs to be stopped. It tears me apart to see this happening in this world.

I feel compelled to spread the word in a hope that through more and more people knowing about this absurd tragedy, that this will eventually come to an end. I cannot force you to watch this video, but it is 29 minutes that are well worth it. The more people that know about this terrible happening, the more likely something is to be done about it.

Kony 2012 Info

Joseph Kony, is right now and for the last 26 years one of the worst war criminals in the world. He is kidnapping young children, right now over 30,000, making the girls sex slaves and boys young soldiers. They are forced to murder their own parents and he is forcing to mutilate people. A young boy who was kidnapped by Kony spoke about what he felt in the video. He talked about his brother who died and started crying, his brother was trying to escape and got killed. Jacob, the boy kidnapped by Kony, said he would rather die then stay alive. Their are so many other people like Jacob who hide in fear and are forced to kill people. Being abducted, given a gun and following horrible orders. For the past 26 years no one has cared about what he has been doing. It took more than nine years just to let this project take action. The government is trying to find him and arrest him, but once they 'figure' its not important they will stop!

Just about to make a thread about this. It's amazing what's been going on. As far as I know, this just came out and already everybody is talking about it.

I also really hope a lot of people will go through with the April 20th idea. I know I will. It's truly amazing what this man is doing for the people in Uganda. Seriously, lots of people, me included, didn't even know Kony existed until now.

And the plan to spread awareness is by spreading "kony 2012". On April 20th, they want everyone to go outside after everyone goes to sleep and put up a bunch of posters, so that way everyone will wake up and see and hopefully look him up.

And right now he is the most wanted criminal by the ICC. So far obama sent 25 people to train Ugandas army.

Some douche stealing away kids as young as five to fight some war in some third world country. Kids get dead, etc, etc. Human trafficking, etc, etc. Bad things, bad man, etc, etc.

It was more like a lame attempt to quite people and make them think they won, while not really doing much.


As for everyone who thinks spreading awareness will fix the problem (and then promptly complain): that's not the idea. They want donations and they want people to target a list of people, some are just popular/rich and some are lawmakers/high in power, to try to make this a huge thing. The more people hear about it, the more will try to help. No, spreading awareness will not capture Kony, but it _will_ help.

It looks like people are so desperate to look like they are trying to be good people that they are just following something blindly without looking into the issue at all.
