I went to the oracle page: http://docs.oracle.c...ernalframe.html and read up on the subject and gave it a whirl.
Wouldn't work. Then I tried removing the JDesktopPane and adding the new JInternalFrame directly to the primary JFrame. It worked - showed up; I could move it around, close it (minimize and resize wouldn't work).
So I added a JDesktopPane back in and read some tutorials and tried them and nothing would work. Finally looked at the full sample code on the Oracle page I linked to and copied it directly to Eclipse and ran it. Crazy thing, it didn't work either - directly from Oracle. The JInternalFrames simply will not show up for me on top of a JDesktopFrame.
I downloaded the demo using "Launch" from that same page, and ran it and it worked like it was supposed to. So something is odd.
I'm wondering if anyone has any insite to this issue. I'm on an iMac, if it matters - which I wouldn't think it would.
