In college, on weekends, I'd gather a few friends in my old beast of a car, and we'd take what we called "coin trips"... we'd just start driving and when we came to an intersection, we'd flip a coin... heads, we turned right, tails we turned left. I'll suggest that it says a great deal about you that you measure the quality of opportunity through effort and labor as being defined by the amount of time you're legally entitled to do nothing and get paid for it. France takes August off, huh? That's nice. Guess what else they take off. France takes in more than double in taxes per worker than the U.S. does. As for free handouts to immigrants, well, the legal ones pay their own way just like the rest of us. Maybe you were referring to the illegals though? Well, let's be clear: they buy gas (so they pay for the roads). They rent apartments (so they pay for the schools). The vast majority have moneys withheld from their paychecks for taxes, social security and the like, just like the rest of us. They buy things here and pay sales taxes. In short, yeah, if they came here to work (why most of them came here in the first place), they do shit jobs and still pay into the system they live in. Kind of hard not to, in fact. If you'd ever held a job in your pathetic stunted existence you'd might know that.
