I've been developing a shoot 'em up for a while. I made about 10 bullet patterns. After making them I noticed that they aren't fit for mass of enemies, but rather are fit for use with 1 enemy because they are too complex for many enemies. So what kind of bullet pattern would you recommend for use with mass of enemies?

Is you game 2D or 3D? What do you mean by "I noticed that they aren't fit for mass of enemies, but rather are fit for use with 1 enemy because they are too complex for many enemies."? You aren't really making sense.

My game is 2D. What I meant is that if I would use more than one enemy for attacking the player, the attacks would overlap and player wouldn't have any escape routes. That is the game wouldn't be clearable without dying. I am attaching a picture to show you what kind of bullet pattern it is similar to, this is one of them. I just want to know some very simple bullet patterns that can be used to attack player with more than one enemy.

Can you put a gameplay video up on YouTube or something? The image isn't telling me very much.

So I decided, that I was getting bored with my shoot 'em up and decided to do this differently. I decided to make it like survival deathmatch, where player must survive 10 bullet patterns and then he is free to go. In that way I don't need to make easy to kill swarm of enemies. Though only minus is that I still haven't got a try at levels system.
