Is there a way for me to find out the status of a tutorial I submitted?
Also if a tutorial wasn't accepted is there a way to get feedback to improve it.

Submitted tutorials and snippets could take anywhere from minutes to a month to show once submitted. Once you submit a tutorial or snippet, they go into a queue (I think) then a member of the staff that is knowledgeable in that field will review it. If you are good to go, you will not receive any response from DiC but you will see your snippet/tutorial in the appropriate section. If your snippet/tutorial has been rejected, you will receive a message from a staff member telling you why it was rejected and or how you can fix it. Once you take care of the issue(s), you can then resubmit your snippet/tutorial.
*Edit*
I think the longest I had to wait was almost 6 weeks! Then again I submit Assembly and there are only a few here that can/will review it. :-)

Is that all? There no set time period, so please try and be patient and we appreciate you wanting to see your submission among the rest. We do tend to get quite a few submissions, and each one is vetted by one of the team members. Depending on the programming language used in the submission, and what languages the team members feel confident in vetting in. It could be a while.
You'll receive PM should the submission not be approved detail why and how to improve it.
If you can see it, then its been approved and Kudos will award in time.

OK. Mainly I just wanted to know if it wasn't accepted is it going to just go in the mysterious unaccepted bin.
I guess not. Thanks for letting me know.

I've got a follow-up question, just out of interest. Roughly how many tutorials/snippets are submitted each month?

We receive anywhere from 15 to 50 based on the season. During exam/busy sections in college, for example, we receive a lot less tutorials and more Q/A
