Hazelnuts are only sold around Thanksgiving and Christmas, yo. Also, those pictures... I came. Just saying. I'm so eating a Nutella sandwich right now. Make that Nutella and banana. *drool*

I miss running. I think I'm finally good to begin cardio again starting today, so I might get some jumprope or a quick run in. I can't really run during the day because I'm not wearing some goofy-ass sunglasses on a run. EYE SURGERY IS KEEPING ME DOWN.

I've been regular on the strength training, though, so that's going pretty well. I wish I'd been doing cardio for the last two weeks so I could see the results better. I'm pretty sure I can't swim until after April 9th.

I just started running again friday. Went 1.5 miles, and then could only do .65 miles last night. Trying to build my endurance back up, since I get slightly short of breath walking briskly from the parking lot up the stairs to my office in the morning. I am trying to take it easy so I don't hurt myself like I did last year which set me back by running until I got to tired to pay attention and turned my ankle. I am gonna try to keep this up. I am trying to not worry about weight loss and just building up my general health and I am hoping the weight loss will come with it.

A solid read from the 'Art of Manliness'... a pretty damn good regiment if you are looking to start out!

I've been running 3 miles 3x/wk at about 35-40 minutes per run. I wish I could find a nice trail around here or someone to run with.

This has been the greatest year ever! I've lost like 25 pounds in the first 4 months. Now for the first time ever in my life, when I go in to a clothing store, the help shows me L and XL size shirts and I'm referred to by strangers as the tall guy with glasses instead of the fat guy! :D

Continuing my battle against the bulge, I now excerise for about 30 minutes, walk 4 kms to the office and climb the 9 floors to my cubicle daily.

Going outside running - a good way to avoid being at home with your Mother.

I have discovered the joys of pre-washed, bagged veggies... like this:
Posted Image

I've started buying bags and bags of stuff from this company from the produce section, taking it home or to work, and eating it like normal people eat potato chips. I just finished off a bag of green beans, in fact. They were delicious. I know, I could save money by buying the bulk shit, washing it, cutting it, and bagging it myself... but let's face it, I'm far more likely to eat it if I only have to open a bag and munch away. It's not much of a cost savings if it's going to sit in my fridge and rot.

Anyway, this is my latest attempt to keep myself full and away from the vending machines. The sugar snap peas are my favorites.
