Element FILETITLE is undefined in QGETFILEDETAIL.

Posted 22 March 2012 - 07:35 AM

I faced a problem that state "undefined element", but already define it. first file (A) i've defined link like code below:
<cfset link = "location.href('index.cfm?section=Transit&action=fileDetail&FileVol=#qGetFiles.vol#');">

Then second file (B), i've create querylike
<cfquery name="qGetFileDetail" datasource="#config.DSN#">
							SELECT filecode FROM Demo_CreateFile
							WHERE vol = '#url.FileVol#'
						        </cfquery>

then, i call the data from database in file "B" for display using this code:
 <td><cfoutput>#qGetFileDetail.filetitle#</cfoutput></td>
, my database also had column "filetitle",in Demo_CreateFile table. help me to get the error and able to fix it.

The error print screen in attachment.

Hey De.camm. Go back to your SELECT query and look at which column you're pulling from Demo_CreateFile. Now, look at which column you're asking that selected queryset to output.

filecode != filetitle

Just for curiosity, how much experience do you have doing this kind of thing? The code you tend to post suggests that the codebase you're working on might be something you inherited rather than wrote yourself. Would that be correct?

I suspected as much.

There's no problem being a newb. Everyone was at one time or another. Just helps to know sometimes is all.
