Javascript challenge forum?

Posted 23 March 2012 - 10:19 PM

In this thread:
http://www.dreaminco...t-canvas-forum/
I mentioned that I might do a canvas challenge.

I went to to js help forum and didn't see a challenge subforum.
Neither is it in the web development forum above the js one.

I did see in the c/c++ forum that there was a place for challenges.
http://www.dreaminco...-cc-challenges/

Does this mean I just don't know where to put javascript challenges, or could DIC use a challenge forum for javascript.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Only the higher-traffic subforums get a challenges forum. You can still create and submit one, just mark it as such. Put [Challenge] in the title.

Ok. I'm still debating with myself about what challenge to make.

Something else.

I see a lot of rewards be given out for challenges.
Is that something that has to be done by a moderator?

I've only been more active recently and I'm still just a regular member.

Mentors and above nominate users for "rewards" for various happenings on DiC. I think we can give em also, just haven't had the need to yet.

Well here -New to dream in code?- it says that Forum Leaders contribute challenges.

Forum leaders are below Mentors so I don't know.

Don't worry about rewards for now. Just put up a challenge, if you like. We haven't even seen the level or quality of your challenge yet, so it's premature to discuss whether awards should be given out for winning it.

Just worry about posting good challenges, if that's what you want to do.

All right then.

I guess the reward is the challenge.
