Game of Thrones - Season 2

Posted 24 March 2012 - 05:12 PM

Prepare thine self for a journey into Westeros and beyond. Will thoust cheer for the northern Starks or perhaps the golden haired Lannisters?

If you haven't started watching this series start right not. Oh, and read the books.

In one week...

Who's excited? Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

I'd say 'I am', but that doesn't even cover it. This show is everything I could want and have wanted in a fantasy show for ages.

Now I must avoid this topic, because I've never read the books and thus have no idea what is going to happen. Makes the show more interesting, at least.

I haven't watched season 1 yet. My friend has it on blu-ray, so that's probably going to happen soon. I'm about halfway through A Dance with Dragons, which I plan to pick back up once my eyes are up to the task. From the clips I've seen, the show seems to be a pretty awesome adaptation.

I'm stoke as fuck, man! I'm totally a Dany fan, so I can't wait to see some sweet dragon action. Also, I can't to see me some more Kit Harington. <3<3<3 Doesn't he meet Ygritte in this book or is that the next one? I wished I could be Ygritte. :( I wanna bang Kit so bad I can't stand it.

Is anyone really rooting for the Lannisters? I mean that kid plays dickhead king way too well, I can't imagine anyone liking them, apart from Tyrion. Although I guess people who fancy their sister will probably love Jaime and Cersei

Maybe you have to read the books to root for the Lannisters but just from the show I have no clue why that would be a question, they are the bad guys...except maybe for Tyrion cuz he's awesome.

I actually kinda like Jaime a lot. He's a little bit of a cunt, but I think he's just... well, I think he's just had a bit a bad luck and is taking it like a boss. I'm halfway through a Storm of Swords, so don't ruin it for me.

I've read the books, I warmed to Jaime a bit and Tyrion is a boss but Cersei is a dick, anyone who likes her is probably a terrible person.

Agreed. Also, Joffrey, but mainly because he's wrapped around Cersei's finger, so he learned to act just like her. Tywin isn't that bad, actually. I think it's mainly Cersei and Joffrey that give the Lannisters a bad name.
