If your college were to provide you with an app, what would it do?

I'm going to apply for an undergrad "research" grant. I want to develop something interesting on a mobile platform. Any suggestions? I was thinking about something social that people could volunteer information about what they are doing for the weekend etc, but the whole social app could really be better handled with a facebook group if my college wanted that. Thanks in advance!
