Hi,

We are using Joomla CMS and I want to get feedback on the quality of our coding and our website in general. (There is one fault with extra pages being indexed that we know about and is being dealt with) I am trying to other feedback and reviews.

A few things - the shadows - they are going all sorts of directions - get them figured out. Case in point the main pane has some sort of inner shadow in the top left.. the blog button has one pointing to the top right..the black bar across the bottom is straight down. Unify that.

Capitalization - your breadcrumbs are capitalized yet the main menu options (company - projects - contact us) are not.

When at the default page you have some round icons on the right side (audio - lighting etc) the mouse overs are not working.. because when they are present in the black bar I mouse over and they change their background style.

It might also do well to have that highlighted color be the fill color in the 'd' at the top right.

On the bit about the company is 'bespoke home cinema' a brand? If so capitalize it.

Consistent comma usage - either you put a comma after each item in a list or you don't.

Example:

You are doing all three:
"We design, supply, and install custom "

You are not doing the last one:
"AV Candy focuses on custom audio visual solutions, home cinema installations and multi-room audio video systems. "

It's "whether" not "wether".

The writing is a bit shaky; it needs to be 30% more zazzy.

The idea behind the menu not being capitalized is to tie it in with the logo so to keep the site all tied together. We did try capitalized menu titles but they did not work.

Do you mean text highlight. I thought it was the same colour. Is it not? Again I might need to check with the coder...


All the content is done by the client BUT I am just starting to take over management of the site. He wrote it all but I am looking to edit things.

No bespoke home cinema means a custom built home cinema.

As I said I am just starting to try and edit the clients on site content.

Any suggestions on speeding in up.... that bits all hard coded into the joomla template

I actually really like how you have done the shadows. It looks like it's beneath the main page, it's unique and nice to look at. I like the page, and the mouse-overs are pretty smooth on my end.

But I would choose better icons, possibly something monochromatic, or a glyph icon.

It's also slow on my end. When I hover on the icons, it takes a little more than a sec before icon's background color turns blue.

But I really like the smooth design.

Javascript Error: undefined referance error: can't find variable: Class; undefined TypeError: 'un defined' is not a function; TypeError 'undefined' is not an object

We are just working on the site at the moment.... having to implement this stupid EU Cookie Law notification and it was clashing with the script used for the home page images. Will let you know when it's implemented.
