@Koyume - do you listen to anything other than video game music? I mean, when you're not playing video games?

To answer your question, yes. But I've always been a big fan of gaming music. lol.

Some games have kick-ass music. Halo (1-2) and Assassin's Creed come to mind.
The original Halo soundtrack is one of the few songs I've ever heard that invariably gives me goosebumps.
And, though not a video game soundtrack, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies had perfect music. Hans Zimmer is an absolute genius: I recently realized that I can recall (and play on the piano) virtually every note from every song in every soundtrack of his that I have ever heard. It's really amazing how perfect his music is. Last year I randomly realized that his music haunts me (in a good way) - I had no idea he wrote these masterpieces, but I explicitly looked up the childhood movies that had amazing music (I guess I was bored one night) to find out that, sure enough, every single soundtrack I searched for, the music therein still haunting me over a decade after I first heard it, was composed by Hans Zimmer.
